Pegasus mail series Pegasus mail series is a very popular mail series from last so many years. It contains tutorials which will help you a lot. Now to learn its tutorials, first install Pegasus mail, open it and see below: Configuring a POP email account in Pegasus Mail
- To start with, first click Tools tab,
- then click Internet options,
- Internet option dialog box is displayed now click on Start setup wizard,
- then click next.
- Now enter your e-mail address you want to configure, in the given space and click next.
- Then enter incoming POP3 server address and click next.
- Next enter your full e-mail address as username and its password
- and click next.
- Then enter your outgoing server address and click next.
- You see Network or broadband is selected by default, so leave this and click next button.
- Then click finish,
- then click Sending SMTP tab,
- you see SMTP address is selected, now click edit button.
- Next click”Security”tab
- and select the checkbox “Login to the SMTP server using a POP3username/password,
- then click select.
- Again choose your POP3 definition and click select.
- Click ok.
- Again click knows your e-mail account is configured.
Configuring a POP email account with SSL in Pegasus Mail
- To start with, first click Tools tab,
- then click Internet options,
- Internet option dialog box is displayed now click on Start setup wizard,
- then click next.
- Now enter your e-mail address you want to configure in the given space and click next.
- Then enter incoming POP3 server address and click next.
- Next enter your full e-mail address as username and its password
- and click next.
- Then enter your outgoing server address and click next.
- You see Network or broadband is selected by default, so leave this and click next button.
- Then click finish,
- then click Receiving (POP3) tab,
- you see POP3 host just setup is selected; now click edit button.
- Next click Security tab
- and select “Via direct SSL connect “to require secure SSL connection for the incoming server.
- Now click on change button,
- then General button,
- port no. was updated to 995
- and click ok
- know click Sending SMTP tab,
- you see SMTP host is selected; now click edit button.
- Next click”Security”tab
- and select the checkbox “Login to the SMTP server using a POP3username/password, to setup SMTP authentication
- then click select.
- Again choose your POP3 definition and click on select button. Next click Security tab
- and select “Via direct SSL connect “to require secure SSL connection for the outgoing server.
- Now click on change button,
- and then General Button
- and you see port no. was updated to 465
- and click ok.
- Again click knows your e-mail account is configured.
Configuring an IMAP email account in Pegasus Mail
- To start with, first click Tools tab,
- then click Internet options,
- Internet option dialog box is displayed now click on Start setup wizard,
- then click next.
- Now enter your e-mail address you want to configure, in the given space and click next.
- Next screen is asking for POP3 server address, so leave the box blank and click next.
- Next enter your full e-mail address as username and its password
- and click next.
- Then enter your outgoing server address and click next.
- You see Network or broadband is selected by default, so leave this and click next button.
- Then click finish,
- then click Sending SMTP tab,
- you see SMTP address is selected, now click edit button.
- Next click”Security”tab
- and select the checkbox “Login to the SMTP server using a POP3username/password,
- then click select.
- Again choose your POP3 definition and click select.
- Click ok.
- Again click ok,
- your full e-mail address as now to setup IMAP profile, click Tools tab then click IMAP profile,
- then click New.
- you need to enter a name for the IMAP connection,
- IMAP server address,
- A dialog box is displayed in which your username and its password in the given boxes.
- Then click Settings tab,
- now select the checkbox “Always connect to this profile when Pegasus mail starts up”, Make this definition’s INBOX folder the default new mail folder”, “Periodically update the INBOX view”,select”Move them to an IMAP folder called “
- and click ok.
- Then click Done, your e-mail account is created now.

Configuring custom ports in Pegasus Mail
- To start with, first click Tools tab, then click Internet options,
- Internet option dialog box is displayed now click on Receiving (POP3) tab,
- select the POP3 host just setup and click edit button.
- Now change your incoming server port no. to 995
- and click ok.
- Next click Sending SMTP tab,
- select your SMTP host and click edit button.
- and change the outgoing SMTP server port no. to 465
- and click ok.
- Click ok again to finish the process.
How to setup your email signature in Pegasus Mail
- To create the signature, first click Tools tab, then click options,
- next click signature,
- then click Edit signatures button
- and type your signature in the signature box
- and click save.
